A concept took shape and a dream was fulfilled. Spirals Salon opened doors in October 2004, creating the first curly concept salon in the southwest. Our team is committed to delivering our knowledge and expertise of natural curls to our customers, from washing to styling. The Spirals team is not only trained in natural curls, we're also talented in all other hair types, from super straight to those super curls. Our salon culture is one of family. We consider our staff and clients part of that family. We're dedicated to lifelong learning and education in new styles and methods in our industry as we strive for perfection in our love for creating art you wear everyday.

Tonja Marie Chagaris

Having been in the industry for 14 years, specializing in naturally curly hair design, Tonja Chagaris has combined her imaginative and exciting approaches to hair design with successful salon management and retail sales to open a very successful salon in Tucson, AZ. Tonja first trained as an assistant under Rex Firkins at Rex Studio in Tucson. She then moved onto learning the Framesi and Redken Color Systems. Tonja then found a passion for learning under the Paul Mitchell core cutting and block coloring system, and has been continuing her education in this area along with learning the Colorcutting USA system under Scott Cole and Linda Yodice. Tonja has a passion for her work and can create a dynamite look for everyone whether they have super straight or super curly hair.

George Laos

After being in the industry for over 24 years hair is still a passion for George. Following the completion of his training at the Carlos Valenzuela Academy, George continued to work with Carlos teaching advanced hair cutting and coloring. Complete training of Vidal Sasson Advanced Education, Toni & Guy Cutting, and Paul Mitchell Core Coloring and Cutting; as well as extensive knowledge of Redken Color and Paul Mitchell The Color collections allow George the flexibility as a stylist to adapt to all clients needs. Mastering in naturally curly hair, texture waving, clean crisp haircut lines, and coloring ensures your vision will be met with expertise and satisfaction. Beginning with a thorough consultation and ending with a blowdry style ensure that you leave looking and feeling absolutely amazing.

Jacqueline Scordato

A national color educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems, as well as in depth education from Redken, Framesi, and Wella; Cutting education from Paul Mitchell, Alterna, and Sebastian; Makeup and Skincare education from Yonka Paris, Trucco, Mac, and Origins Cosmetics as well as working in salons and spas since the age of 15 gives Jacqueline the knowledge, creativity, and technical skills to understand a clients needs and wants. Experiences include makeup and hair for photo shoots, local fashion events, weddings and special occasions. Specializing in edgy color and cutting, dimensional color, color correction, precision cutting, makeup instruction and application, hair designing for special events, lash tinting, and facial waxing. A thorough consultation, shampoo with a tantalizing head and neck massage, and blowdry style are included with every appointment. Whether it's a "Rock Star" look or soft and glamorous you'll leave feeling and looking sexy and absolutely georgeous.

John Alexander Moreno

John has been in the hair industry for over 20 years. Working in the San Francisco Bay Area and Tucson as a stylist for a large portion of the time in addition owning his own salon, JAG salon, have all led to John's amazing ability to create beautiful hair. John not only has had extensive education from Toni and Guy, Schwartzkoph, Bumble and Bumble NY, and Jingles International, but is also a former educator for Schwartzkoph. Specializing in razor cutting, short "choppy" textured looks and coloring more than decolorizing hair color. John alos uses the Desange method of blowdrying to ensure a finished look. John also works with your hair's natural texture and bone structure to enable you to acheive a look that is as individual as you are.

Joseph Miller

After completing the apprentice program, Joseph has soared. He is a great listener and delivers what his clients want. His blowouts are magical, transforming even the skinniest hair into voluminous locks. Joseph loves to stay educated with coloring and cutting techniques, attending as many classes as he can. He is currently studying at the University of Arizona for a Bachelors in Accounting, as well as working in the salon. If his fun loving personality doesn't win you over, your finished hair style definitely will.

Pierre Montcalm

Loyal to the industry and his clients, Pierre has been a hair designer for over 20 years. His calm and relaxing domineer works well for people who like the gentle touch. He has superb talent for classic men’s haircuts. He studied under Carlos Valenzuela and has had continuous education with Framesi and Paul Mitchell. Pierre enjoys nature in all its glorious forms, from skiing to hiking. He finds nature to be inspirational in his career and life.

Lizeth Heredia, R.N.

Our recent expansion now brings us all an eye opening experience BOTOX and RESTYLANE, Lizeth is a registered nurse working under the advice and supervision of Mark Chorebanian M.D. She has received numerous certifications most recently certified in Aesthetics. Lizeth gives the most practical approach to the cosmetic practice, always putting the clients best interest first.

Alma Quintero

Alma has been specializing in nail services for over five years. In addition to maintaining advanced education courses, Alma has completed advanced training in Los Angeles for nails and has become a master technician for Creative Nail Design. The Eric Burns Show on Fox Sports recently featured men getting manicures and pedicures for maintence. Alma was the technician providing nail services for baseball player Kurt Gibbons. She has received numerous awards for outstanding quality of services. Alma's attention to detail and passion for her work make for a truly unforgettable service that will leave you wanting more.

Krystal Coronado

Krystal has enormous dedication to the industry; her love of creating complete looks gives her guests amazing hair followed by beautiful makeup. She truly enjoys being able to connect with people while being able to express her artistic abilities. Krystal has received education from Redkin, Regis, Tigi, and Paul Mitchell. She has completed the training/assistant program at Spirals as well as participating in monthly Paul Mitchell hair color and cutting classes, ensuring she is always up to date with new trends and techniques. Her love and talent for hair and makeup are apparent in her work, whether you want simple and elegant or fun and edgy, you'll leave looking gorgeous.

Erin "Barbie" Nichols

Barbie began studying aesthetics at Xenon International. Since then she has had extensive training with MAC Cosmetics, GloMinerals Cosmetics, 3D Eyelash Extensions, and special effects makeup. Her area of expertise is vast and includes amazing facials, body and cellulite treatments, quick pain-free (well almost) body and facials waxing, eyelash extensions and make-up ranging from weddings to costumes. More recently she has completed advanced training from the Yon-Ka Paris Institute and has goals to become a Yon-Ka educator. If you need time for relaxing and brilliantly glowing skin then Barbie is just the person for you!
